TRAINER DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE
This is a "must have" training session for any adult leader that is serious about their commitment to training junior and adult leaders. Period.
This "train the trainer" session is conducted twice a year by the Old Hickory Council Training Committee. It consists of two separate but equally important sessions. The first session is conducted on a Saturday from around 8 am until approximately 5 pm. It focuses on the basics of training and making presentations. Methods covered include facility set-up, training environment, and how to work with various training aides (chalk board, white board, PowerPoint presentations, flip chart, etc.). Students work with some of the council's best and most experienced trainers.
Upon successful completion of the course, students are awarded the Old Hickory Council Trainer Award, and invited to join the council training committee.
