Old Hickory Council Boy Scouts of America    UNIVERSITY OF SCOUTING ‘09 Congratulations on your acceptance to the Old Hickory Council’s Class of 2009, University of Scouting scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2009. All adult leaders; be they Cub Leaders, Boy Scout Leaders, Venture Leaders, Commissioners, or Committee Members are invited to attend this most valuable winter training opportunity. This year’s University will offer a variety of Scouting Courses not found in our Scout Council’s regular annual training schedule. From First Aid/CPR instruction and certification, to Cub Leader Training, to Boy Scout Leader Training, to Venture Team Building, and our many other Scouting courses offered in our General College, there is something for every adult Scout Leader. We even have a course on “Scout Leaders and Taxes”. An Associate Degree in Scouting will be awarded to those leaders completing this one day, seven hour university. This year’s University will also have a Scout Leader Midway with vendors and booths for leaders to visit. A “UOS Vendor Passport” will be provided for you to meet and greet each of our vendors.
