Venturing Venturing is a program for young men and women ages 14 (who have completed the eighth grade) through 20. The program emphasizes team leadership, life skills development, outdoor and high-adventure activity, and other areas of interest to the crewmembers.
| Venturing is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth, adult leaders, and organizations in their communities. Local community organizations establish a Venturing crew by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community. The result is a program of exciting and meaningful activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens. The Old Hickory Council has Venturing crews chartered by different community organizations throughout our council operating area. For more information on Venturing visit the national Venturing web site.
