Day Hike the District #1 May 17th 8am to Noon.

Stokes County Featuring Hanging Rock State Park.

In our first adventure into Seven Rivers District, we visit Hanging Rock State Park. We will check in at the park starting at 8 am but no later than 9 am...Starting at 9 am we will meet and discuss safety. After that we will hike to the two waterfalls on Indian Trail. Cubs can explore the creek and we plan to have a creek life activity to explore local creek wildlife.

You will want to wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet. Same goes for close toed creek shoes suitable for creek exploration. ( NO Bare Feet Or Flip Flops)  Sounds like a great way to spend an early summer morning.

All Day Hikes will conclude by 12pm

The Cost for youth and adults is $5 per person which includes the event Puzzle Patch, bottle water for the hike, and a trail snack.

Note: Event patches will be distributed in the fall at Round Table or Mailed to your Unit Leader in September. Each patch for our adventures are specific to that county and when put together complete a puzzle. In order to complete the puzzle you must register for all four events.
