2018 Scouting for Food Bag Distribution
Scouting for Food is an annual program of the Boy Scouts of America that collects food for local food agencies.
Over 1.6 million North Carolinians, or 18.2 percent of the state's population, are "food-insecure”, meaning they at times lack access for enough food for all household members. Between 2010-15 North Carolina regularly ranked among the top ten states with the highest percentage of citizens experiencing food shortages.
