Membership Registration and Information

All Scouting America member registrations are currently for 12 months.

Scouting America will send email notifications at 60, 30, 15, and 7 days prior to your registration expiration date. A direct link will be included.   

Adult volunteers and parents of youth can register and pay online through BeAScout.org

All adult volunteers must complete Safeguarding Youth Training  before registering. Click the SAFE logo on your My.Scouting.org dashboard.

Adult volunteers and parents of youth can renew and pay online through My.Scouting.org, My Application, My Renewals If you get an access error, please contact the council Registrar to be sure the youth and parent profile information is accurate. 

Subscribe to or renew your Scout Life Magazine at the same time as your membership! Unclick the default check to remove the subscription on the checkout screen.

If you have a previously Initiated Renewal, choose Withdraw Renewal and Start Renewal again.

During your renewal, you can remove any multiple positions that you are not continuing or change your primary position. 

Units have the option to renew registrations for volunteers and families if needed. 

Member registrations can also be renewed at the council office by the Registrar. 

Youth who need financial assistance or use Medicaid benefits to pay for registration fees must be registered or renewed by the council Registrar.
